Hello I’m Andrea Karina, a Design Strategist from Mexico. My willingness to discover new meanings about design brought me to New York City, where in 2016 I completed a MFA in Transdisciplinary Design, at Parsons School of Design. I design for humans, with my design practice I guide individuals, collectives and societies to leverage complex systems at different scales.
I'm currently a Service Designer and Design Researcher in IBM, where I use my critical and analytical thinking to go beyond the known and find novel connections to deliver meaningful design solutions.
Before IBM I used to teach at Parsons the School of Design, as well as collaborating with the UNICEF Agenda 2030.
In my free time, I enjoy learning from realities that differ from mine, such as volunteering in places that offer services for immigrants in New York City, in organizations that advocate for inclusion for people with disabilities, among others.
